Brewing vessel

Chorreador

Also known as: chorreador de café, Costa Rican coffee stand

A wooden stand that holds a cloth bag (bolsita) open over a cup or jug, so hot water poured over the grounds drips straight through. The stand is the distinguishing part — the cloth is a filter that many countries use, but mounting it on a purpose-built frame at pouring height, rather than holding it by hand or hanging it over a pot, is characteristically Costa Rican.
