What CoffeeHQ actually processes

CoffeeHQ has no accounts, no forms that submit anywhere, no newsletter, and no user submissions. What it does process, specifically:

• Local storage, on your device only, never transmitted to CoffeeHQ: favourites, your shopping list, and your analytics consent choice. See cookies for detail.
• Analytics events (Google Analytics/GA4): It runs only for visitors who have actively accepted analytics; declining, or not deciding, keeps it off.It will only ever send a fixed, predefined set of event names with structured, non-free-text properties — never personal data, page text you've read, or your shopping-list contents. Each HEKNO product configures its own analytics separately.
• Standard technical/security logsthat CoffeeHQ's hosting infrastructure generates for any web request (e.g. IP address, timestamp) — not processed by CoffeeHQ's own application code, but a normal part of operating any website securely.

CoffeeHQ does not list data it doesn't process — if a category isn't named above, CoffeeHQ doesn't currently collect it.

Purposes and lawful bases

Local storage supports requested functionality (favourites, shopping list) and is considered strictly necessary, not requiring a consent choice. Analytics, once active, would support service improvement under consent. Technical/security logs support security and fraud prevention under legitimate interests.

Suppliers and transfers

CoffeeHQ is hosted by Vercel, which processes standard technical and security request data (for example IP address and timestamp) as part of serving the site. Analytics is described above and no other third-party integration exists, so no other supplier currently receives any data from CoffeeHQ. This notice names real suppliers as they go live, and the section above states what is and is not processed.

Retention

Local storage persists on your device until you clear your browser's site data, or until you change your analytics choice via the cookies page. CoffeeHQ does not itself retain a server-side copy of any of it.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to information, access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, and consent withdrawal. Since CoffeeHQ holds essentially no data about you outside your own device's local storage, most of these rights are already satisfied by your browser's own site-data controls — clearing them removes everything CoffeeHQ-related from your device.

Requests and complaints

Send a data-protection request or complaint to privacy@coffeehq.app. HEKNO will acknowledge a data-protection complaint within 30 days and respond without undue delay. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

Children

CoffeeHQ is not directed at children and is not intended for use by them.

Automated decisions

CoffeeHQ's tools (the coffee-maker selector, calculators) provide informational outputs, not a legal or similarly significant automated decision about you.

Security

CoffeeHQ uses proportionate technical measures (including the security headers described in its build configuration), but no online system can be guaranteed completely secure.
