These terms apply whenever you use CoffeeHQ, a website operated by HEKNO Ltd (“HEKNO”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

Informational nature

Unless expressly stated otherwise, CoffeeHQ's content and tools are general information, education and decision support — not a substitute for professional advice, including medical or nutritional advice. Results depend on the inputs, assumptions and sources behind them, and you are responsible for deciding whether an output is suitable for your situation.

Limited permission

HEKNO grants a limited, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable permission to access CoffeeHQ for lawful personal or internal business use, subject to these terms and the intellectual property & content use policy. No ownership rights are transferred.

Prohibited conduct

You must not use CoffeeHQ unlawfully; interfere with its security or availability; bypass access controls; introduce malware; impersonate others; or systematically extract or republish its content contrary to the intellectual property & content use policy.

Calculators and estimates

Outputs from CoffeeHQ's calculators (caffeine, brew ratios, cost per cup, and others) are estimates, not guarantees. They depend on the inputs you provide and stated assumptions — see each tool's own methodology, and calculator methodology, for exactly what is and isn't accounted for.

Recommendations and comparisons

CoffeeHQ's comparisons and its coffee-maker selector use stated criteria and editorial judgement. They do not guarantee suitability, availability, or performance of any product. Recommendations are never influenced by advertising or affiliate commission — see the editorial policy.

External services

Any third-party service CoffeeHQ references is controlled by its own owner. HEKNO is not responsible for third-party content, availability, or privacy practices, and a reference does not necessarily imply endorsement.

Intellectual property

HEKNO and its licensors retain applicable rights in CoffeeHQ's protected content, software, structured data and design — see intellectual property & content use for full detail.

Availability

HEKNO may improve, restrict, suspend or discontinue CoffeeHQ or any part of it. Free services are not promised to be uninterrupted or error-free.

Liability and mandatory rights

Nothing in these terms excludes liability where exclusion would be unlawful, including death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or mandatory consumer rights. Subject to that, HEKNO is not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, result from misuse of CoffeeHQ, or arise from reliance on an output without reasonable verification.

Consumer rights

Statutory consumer rights remain unaffected by these terms. CoffeeHQ has no paid services or accounts as of this version of these terms.

Governing law

These terms and related non-contractual obligations are governed by Scots law. Subject to any mandatory rights available to consumers in their place of residence, the Scottish courts have jurisdiction.
