Central Highlands (Vietnam)

An administrative grouping of five provinces, Đắk Lắk, Lâm Đồng, Đắk Nông, Gia Lai and Kon Tum, and not a protected coffee name. It held 92 per cent of Vietnam's coffee area and grew 90 per cent of its coffee, as the USDA's attaché reported in 2025. The protected name inside it is Buôn Ma Thuột, a geographical indication for robusta from listed communes of Đắk Lắk, which Vietnam registered in 2005 and the European Union protects under its trade agreement with Vietnam.
