Nyeri
A county of central Kenya, and an administrative unit only. Kenya had no law on geographical indications in 2019, on its industrial property institute's own account, and a research body working on the question reported in April 2026 that the draft law had still not been adopted. CoffeeHQ has read no document that registers a coffee name for Nyeri. Neither of those two documents mentions it. The USDA attaché's 2026 report names Nyeri as one of four places where coffee farms on the edges of towns were most often uprooted for housing over most of the previous decade. It is kept as a supporting record, and nothing is said here about its altitude, varieties or cup.
