Minas Gerais

Brazil's largest coffee state by a wide margin: it grows more than seven tenths of the country's arabica and roughly half of all its coffee. It is a state, not a single growing region. The Cerrado Mineiro, Mantiqueira de Minas, Matas de Minas and Campo das Vertentes are registered geographical indications inside it, Alta Mogiana crosses its border with São Paulo, and 'Sul de Minas' is the everyday name for its south.
